Gidiculture Festival releases star-studded lineup schedule

The organisers of the highly anticipated Gidiculture festival today released the performance schedule for its all star lineup, with the Original African music channel, Dstv’s Channel O announced as the official broadcast partner.

The star-studded line up of artistes which includes Davido, Wizkid, Oritse Femi, Ice Prince to name a few has grabbed the attention of festival lovers around the country.

Student Consumes 6 Packs Of Hungry Man Indomie at once In Oau [Obafemi Awolowo University]

OAU Student Consumes 6 packs of Hungryman size for a 6000naira bet.

The entire Awo Hall of Obafemi Awolowo University went wild yesterday's evening, when a student staying in block 7, consumed 6 packs of hungry man's size Indomie at a sitting after betting with a roommate that he will consume the entire six at once for a sum of 6000naira. Awoites were awed and hailed d student popularly called MIC for performing such an uncommon feat.
The jubilant MIC was still seen jogging around Awo hall after acheiving his feat, followed by Awoites boasting that he can still eat more. Incredible you can say!!!

I think this guy needs to contest in the guiness book of records and let's see whether he can consume 6 cartons. Or what do you think?

Again, Gunmen Kill Two, Raze Over 120 Houses in Plateau State

An eye witness said the attackers came into Diyam-Rim at about 2 am, raided the village for about an hour, killing the two persons and injuring two others.

Gunmen, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, have again struck on the Plateau, leaving at least two dead and over 120 houses burnt at Diyam-Rim of Riyom local government area, and Rakok and Razat both of Barkin Ladi local government area of the state.

 The other attack on Rakok and Razat in Barkin Ladi left over 120 houses and farm produce burnt by the assailants.

Ever since I can remember, I have always admired my parents. Even in their old age, I still see them holding hands every day. As a young lad in the early 50s, I saw dad and mum dance a lot, as if they were rehearsing for a dance competition. They argued a lot and laughed a lot, I just couldn't tell anymore when they were quarrelling or playing. There was a lot of love in my family, for a long time, my folks were like two teenagers in love, there was so much kissing between them that I came to accept that as a show of love and wanted to kiss every girl I fancied. They loved to entertain, so we continuously had guest come over. I grew up believing that every day was some ‘kinda’ celebration. Some of the things that molded me were not only my father’s regimental training and how he was always quick with the cane, but his love for my mum also had a great impart on me. This is the setting, the background of love I am coming from, my pedigree, my rich heritage. It is my pride.

Wizkid, BankyW, And Others Thrill Students At OAU/NUGA Closing Ceremony

A night for most, unforgettable! Some seeing Wizkid for the very first time. Some just could not resist Banky’s charming, outstanding, marvellous and seasoned stage performance! SoundSultan blew us away with his originality, Wande Coal dazzled to the point where we had to pray to see the end of his loud performance.

The crowd screamed just as much as they craved for more! Unlike a mother to be in labour, they kept begging for the high not to end! Oh, we had so much fun!

After OAU’s football team had won the last gold medal of the just concluded Nigerian University Games hosted by Obafemi Awolowo University, the self acclaimed greatest university in Nigeria, all road led to the prestigious Amphi theatre for the much anticipated closing ceremony.

To the doubting Thomas who thought these A-list celebrities won’t attend, they were treated to probably the best night of their lives.
































































The show was electrifying and fantastic.
Mr W put up a fabulous performance. The emergence of Wizkid create a crowd fear with the huge crowd he saw as fans came from the ancient town apart from OAU students and their visitors. He had to shove it off and kill the likely fear by pulling off his shirt and throw it to the crowd which they compete fiercely for it ownership.

In a nutshell, the show was amazing and singers express their love.
